The Japanese Doll, 2019

The Japanese Doll has been created as a Creative Access Resource using the medium of textiles to create a tactile doll for the National Museum Cardiff to enable visually impaired viewers to access the painting using touch: The Japanese Doll by Gwen John.

The Kimono worn by the doll is adorned with detailed embroidered works and beading complete with a suitcase to be used to transport and store the doll safely.
